On March 20, Hey Elbow released their fourth album FLOCK, a 40-minute immersive work released digitally and on blue transparent vinyl. Today, April 24 – the same day they perform the work live at Intonal in Malmö – they release – In Parts – another way of exploring its ambient, droning, improvisational, jazzy, electronic, and choral vocal textures. Following the release of their fourth album FLOCK on March 20, Malmö-formed trio Hey Elbow unveil ‘PART 04 (Jocke’s Edit)’ as a standalone single, arriving April 8.

Originally part of the album’s continuous 40-minute, fluid and largely improvised composition, ‘PART 04’ has been extracted and reimagined into a concise, hymn-like piece of dream pop. Vocalist Julia Ringdahl leads the track through an ethereal sonic landscape, joined by guest vocalists Freja Drakenberg and Sandra Karlsson on choir arrangements. With two albums released in less than two years, Agitator are as relentless in their output as they are on stage. Björns vänner are releasing a split single together with The Following Sea. One track is classic detective rock and the other is film music from Landala AG’s film Alice i Känslolandet. The Following Sea is Ola Lundin, who in connection with the single has made a fantastic video for Björns vänner’s song “Du verkar ljuga”.
