Björns vänner are releasing a split single together with The Following Sea. One track is classic detective rock and the other is film music from Landala AG’s film Alice i Känslolandet. The Following Sea is Ola Lundin, who in connection with the single has made a fantastic video for Björns vänner’s song “Du verkar ljuga”. More surprising then that the upcoming album “Året av sex” is the darkest and slowest they have made – influenced by chanting witch doctors as well as electronic avant-garde music. With a soundscape based on contrasts, partly captured in a barn on Öland, where the drum kit is supplemented and sometimes replaced by scrap found in a nearby bay, Agitator expands the image of what both the creative process and a rock band in 2026 can be. The result is daring, self-confident and an album that cements the image that Agitator is something big and important.
